Willingness

All the Israelite men and women who were willing brought the Lord freewill offerings for all the work the Lord through Moses had commanded them to do. Exodus 35:29

The tabernacle was to be an intricate work of art. Every article was designed by the very mind of God. The most skilled craftsmen in Israel were to take part, yet everyone in the community had the chance to participate.

It wasn't skill that God wanted; it was willingness. All who were willing gave freewill offerings. These individuals were just as much a part of building the tabernacle as were the skilled workers in all kinds of artistic craftsmanship.

Lord, sometimes I feel like I have nothing to contribute to Your work. My skills are less than perfect; my perfectionism holds me back. Yet perfect skill is not what You require. Willingness is all You ask.

Help me to be willing. Help me to be a part of Your work today.
