What a blessing it would be to experience a jubilee year - a year when all debts are canceled. Life would be filled with fresh starts.
Lord, I need a fresh start. To experience financial freedom is more than I could ever dream. But this isn't the freedom I most desire. I need full assurance in the depths of my soul that my sin debt has been canceled. I know that Jesus paid the price, but I still seem to carry the weight of my sin everywhere I go. It feels sometimes like my ear has pierced by the enemy - that I belong to him for life. In truth, You were pierced so I might be free.
Help me to walk as a free man. Give me courage to face my sin creditors and say, "You no longer own me." Make me Your own today.
