Then the officers shall add, "Is any man afraid or fainthearted? Let him go home so that his brothers will not become disheartened too." Deuteronomy 20:8
Attitude make a huge difference when facing the challenges of life. And the attitude of one can make a difference for the entire group. One disheartened person can bring down the whole. It is better to send one away that for all to be destroyed.
But Lord, what if going home isn't an option? How can the whole group be encouraged to stay in the battle? We are in a spiritual battle that never seems to end. Leaving doesn't seem possible. Satan and his henchmen appear to be at every turn. To retreat could bring disaster. What are we to do?
Pray for reinforcements.
Lord, send in Your warriors to fight the battle. Renew my heart, so I might follow You with my whole mind and body.
