How to Impress Him

His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse, nor his delight in the legs of a man; the Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love. Psalm 147:10-11

The measure of a man's success is not in the races he wins but in the character he displays; God knows this. He isn't impressed by anything we can accomplish. No feat of strength, no amount of speed can catch His eye like the heart of a man focused on Him. He finds such delight in the things man so often disregards.

Lord, I have wasted so much of myself worrying about worldly things, and none of them bring You delight like the hope I place in You. I spend far too much time focused on the negative side of life. Help me to see the good You pour on Your children. Help me to see the blessings in life so other might see them as well. Thank You for Your unfailing love.
