Faith and deeds. What a sore subject.
I'm sure everyone can identify those times in life when their actions don't support their words. And what if the words are never spoken either? What does that say?
Faith is like love. Without something tangible, words are empty.
Lord, this passage makes me sad this morning. There are so many instances that have proven me to be a liar. Too often, I am mere words. And there are people in my life who say all the right things, but do nothing. Even worse are those who don't even speak but should. I have been orphaned - not by death, but by the absence of words and action.
You are a Father to orphans. Be mine today.
