It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in the present age, while we wait for the blessed hope - the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. Titus 2:12-14
Am I saying "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions? Am I self-controlled, upright, and godly? Am I eager to do what is good? If I cannot say "Yes" to these questions, maybe I need more of God's grace.
Thank goodness, there is lots to go around!
Lord, I need Your grace to continue its work in me. I'm growing weary from the enemy's attacks. I'm behind the curve again, and feeling overwhelmed makes me vulnerable. My self-control seems to be the first thing to go. Help me to organize my days. Help me to organize my thoughts. Help me to be upright, godly, and eager to do what is good.
