For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith. Hebrews 4:2
Hearing the truth - even knowing and believing the truth - is absolutely worthless unless it is combined with faith.
Faith is living out what is believed. Faith requires holding fast to the truth depite circumstance - believing when everyone else questions the outcome. Those who walk the truth, who seem to eat, sleep, and breathe it, are the true heroes in this world. Their willingness to live out what they believe has an amazing way of impacting those around them.
Lord, I have a friend who seems to live his faith in ways that bring great glory to You. His faith has touched me - held me at times, and I am a better man for it. Thank You for those in my life who have done more than hear the message. Help me to combine what I know with what I believe. Help me to see that I am a man of great value. Help me to be a man of priceless faith.
